The Haunted Surprise
Lily and Claire are best friends who are planning to celebrate two holidays on the same day--a birthday and Halloween! In this adventure story, the two girls, Lily and Claire, follow their plan to go out trick-or-treating. However, along the way, they come across what looks like a haunted house, and they meet their match in a haunted surprise! Claire and Lily each have their own strengths and challenges. The Haunted Surprise is a story of friendship, pushing out of your comfort zone, and trying to do things even when they are scary. The girls learn the lesson that they can get past whatever happened in the past and be brave and confident enough to face anything when they are together!
The Haunted Surprise is the first published book by 11-year-old author, Amelia Weilu Ding. Amelia WeiLu Ding is a student by day and a skilled connoisseur of fantasy and mystery novels by night! The inspiration for this book came from reading Halloween adventures with her younger sister, Chloe and wanting to create something that children of all ages could read and enjoy! Fun Fact: the main character of this novel shares the same birthday as her, October 31st!
